At long last Katy has been able to start competing this year and what a fantastic start! Katy and Ureca (Uno to those at know her) are Kent Under 23 Champions. After just a few outings this summer giving both horses and rider the chance to get back into their competition mode the BS area show, at Eaglesfield, prooved to be a winning venue. Having taken the babies on Sunday for some experience rounds - where they were both well behaved and foot perfect, Katy and Uno returned on the Monday for the Under 23 Championship and were lucky enough to win it - Uno will now probably think she deserves to spend the rest of the summer eating grass! All the 'girls' are now going out to day shows to improve their competition fitness - which allows Katy to spend more time teaching and helping her pupils at shows.
